Maui cooks in three zones. The resort corridors are base-zone; Upcountry carries a published travel line; the North Shore is quoted at inquiry with the reason attached.
Kāʻanapali–Kapalua
West Maui’s operating present: the resort strip, the Honua Kai–class condo belt, and the Kapalua ridge villas. Base zone. Lahaina town itself is served as an informational page — respectfully, not as a dining destination.
Upcountry & North Shore
Kula, Makawao, Pāʻia, Haʻikū — cooler air, real farms, longer drives. Upcountry carries travel from $75; Pāʻia and Haʻikū are quoted at inquiry, and we tell you why. Hāna, two-plus hours each way, is mention-only.
