How far ahead should you book?
The honest answer by season: two to four weeks during the December–April peak, one to two weeks off-peak, and months for the two windows that compress — Christmas week and wedding-season Saturdays.
By season
- December 22 – January 1: months ahead; the island’s tightest window
- December – April (peak, whale season): two to four weeks
- May – November: one to two weeks, more for large groups
- Wedding weeks: as early as the venue — the good Saturdays go first
What actually holds a date
The written quote plus the 50% deposit — nothing else. An inquiry is a conversation, not a reservation, and December proves the difference every year.
Last-minute reality
Short-notice requests sometimes work — tell us the date and we answer honestly within a day. What we will not do is hold a date we cannot crew; the bench is deep but not infinite, and a real “no” beats a hopeful “maybe.”
Questions, answered
Often, outside the peaks — ask. December through April, expect the honest answer to be tighter.
With the venue, or right after — six to twelve months is normal for Maui destination weddings, and the culinary contract follows the same clock.
