What Maui County’s rules mean in practice
Maui’s licensing framework is unusually specific — caterer license classes, food-revenue ratios, event-notice windows, and liability requirements all live at the county level. The practical result: myCHEF does not sell alcohol, and whether our staff may pour client-supplied bottles at your event type is confirmed in your written quote rather than assumed.
The packaged bar cart
The cart — from $800 per four hours — is tools, mixers, a garnish program, and service. Your bottles sit on it. For receptions, the cart plus client-supplied wine and a signature drink is the setup nine events out of ten actually want.
Venue rules layer on top
Resorts and some estates require their own licensed bar service regardless of caterer. Your quote names the venue’s posture alongside ours — no surprises at load-in.

We can shop it on your list at cost — the purchase is yours. We do not sell alcohol, and the quote states the serving setup that complies with county rules.
